We will be meeting at the high school band hall at 6:00am this Saturday for Solo and Ensemble Contest.  Please be on time and make sure you have had breakfast.

Student need to be dressed in appropriate contest performance clothing and must follow the dress code.  Nice dress/blouse/dress pants for the ladies.  Slacks/dress pants/button down and tie or polo shirt for the guys.

We will be at Old Mesquite High School like usual.

300 E Davis St, Mesquite, TX 75149

Performances start promptly at 8:00am and run through the 10:00am hour. Hopefully, all scores will be in our hands by 11:00ish and we would be home around noon to 1:00pm.  If there is any change, we will send out a Remind Text.

Parents may check out their children if they have finished with their performances if they wish.  They must check out in person with their child face to face with a director. Mr. Manuel will be the first director available for check out around 9:45amish.

There will be concessions at the contest site.  I would urge the students to have enough money for snacks and lunch as this can be a long day of waiting.

Students may bring a change of clothes for after their performance.  Again, it must be dress code.

Playoff game #5 vs. Brock at AT&T Stadium

On to the next round! Here are the details we have so far.

The playoff game will be this THURSDAY at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. We are the “home” team. Game time starts at 7:00pm, however, we will need to get on the road very quickly due to a very large crowd in tow and Dallas traffic.

You will need $5 for meal deal. Looks to be Papa John’s pizza either 3rd quarter or right after the game before we go home. Details still unfolding.

Have your Kemp Band shirt and or a Christmas sweater and jeans…that’s right…no uniforms!

Send-off is at 1:45pm.

School will be released at 2:00pm. We will load the trailer after the send off and school is released.

We are being fed a meal at 3:00pm in the cafeteria by Kemp Alumni and Boosters. Feel free to eat lunch at your normal time as well…be well fed.

As soon as meal is done we will load the buses and leave by 4:00pm (hopefully sooner) to fight traffic and arrive at the stadium by 6:00pm if not earlier.  Kickoff at 7:00pm

We’ll be combining with Brock HS band and our Drill Team to play songs at halftime.

We should arrive back to Kemp late…somewhere around the midnight hour.  We’ll post updates on remind.
