Playoff Game number 1 in Royse City

The first playoff game will be this Thursday at Royse City High School at 7:00pm.

Students will need their band shorts, black socks and can wear either their band shirt or a playoff shirt if they bought one.

Wear thermals…IT’S GOING TO BE COLD. Gloves, beanies, coats…bring them…wear them.

Band hall will be open after school. Call time is 4:30pm to dress out in uniform (not wearing our band hats) and load the trailer. We’ll depart round 5:15pm.

Bring your 5 dollars for meal deal.

Should be home before midnight…updates will be posted on remind text service.

Veteran’s Day Parade on Saturday, Malakoff FBG on Friday.

Saturday Nov. 10th. Veteran’s Day Parade.

ALL students are able to march this parade in honor of our Veterans and their service to our country.

Doors will open at 9:30am. We will load and depart for 7 Points.

Parade will start at 11:00am through 7 Points and end up at the VFW.

The VFW will provide lunch and a program.

We should be back in Kemp around 2:00pm

 

Friday Nov. 9th. Malakoff Game

3:40pm Doors will be open for individual/group practices.

5:00pm Load and dress out in full uniform

7:30pm Game starts

8:30pmish Halftime

Game end time depends on game play. Please check remind for updates on return time.

6:30a.m.              Colorguard meets

11:30a.m.            All will eat during “A” lunch. Report to the Band Hall after “A” lunch wearing your band shirt, band shorts and black socks. Load trailer and put on Uniform Bibbers (no coats yet)

1:00p.m.              Depart for Mesquite

2:00p.m.              Unload instruments put on hats and coats

2:40p.m.              Move toward South Warm Up Area

2:55p.m.              Warm Up

3:25p.m.              Move toward Stadium entrance to perform

3:45p.m.              Perform

4:15p.m.              Load trailer – hang up entire uniform

5:15p.m.              Announcement of Scores

5:45p.m.              Load buses and head to Luby’s. Band Boosters are buying dinner.

REGION 3 MARCHING CONTEST

TICKET/ADMISSION POLICIES

  1. ADMISSION PRICE IS $5.00 FOR AGE 6 & OVER; NO CHARGE FOR UNDER 6 YEARS.
  2. SPECTATORS WILL BE GIVEN A WRISTBAND TO WEAR WHICH WILL ALLOW RE-ENTRY INTO THE STADIUM IF THEY LEAVE AND PLAN TO RETURN DURING THE DAY.
  1. BAND DIRECTORS, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS, AND SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS MAY GET IN AT NO CHARGE.
  1. MEMBERS OF A COMPETING BAND WILL NOT BE CHARGED, BUT SHOULD BE IN UNIFORM (OFFICIAL BAND SHIRTS OKAY) OR ENTER THE STADIUM AS A GROUP WITH THEIR DIRECTOR.

Today we kicked off our annual fundraiser! Your student will have a packet of information. All of the information is in the packet and instructions on the many different ways you can help in this effort. We encourage everyone to participate. Remember: The money raised stays here and directly impacts each student! The profit made by your student can help pay for their supplies, instrument repairs, band polo, and the Soundpost/Splash Kingdom trip at the end of the year.

Friday, we kick off our Great American Fundraiser. The funds raised directly enhance each student’s educational experience. All money raised here, stays here in our group. Your support is necessary to reach our goal. You can make a difference!

How can you help? Simply by making a purchase from the Catalogs or through our Online School Store. It is so simple! We will reach our goal if everyone participates. Homecoming Week Events

All events and times listed below are subject to change. Please keep up to date on Remind and this post. RAIN CHANCES ARE POSSIBLE AT ALL EVENTS THIS WEEK. Please prepare accordingly. All Band Alumni need to report to Mr. Christy upon arrival for each event.

Thursday Oct. 18th

Students may stay after school for individual/sectional practice

6:30pm Rehearsal start. Wear a Kemp shirt of some kind and jeans. Bring a jacket/hoodie

“Dark Thirty”pm  “Bonfire” of sorts is planned to be at the gravel lot on the north side of the stadium. This usually lasts about an hour. BE PREPARED FOR RAIN.

 

Friday Oct. 19thHAVE YOUR BAND SHIRT, BAND SHORTS AND BLACK SOCKS

2:00pm Homecoming pep rally in the high school gym.

Students may stay after school for individual/sectional practice

***We will be fed pizza before the game*** Bring your meal money. THANK YOU BOOSTERS!

5:00pm Dressed in full uniform and ready to rehearse with Alumni Band.

6:00pm Pre Game activities. Will troop after. (Depending on rain)

7:00pmish Game start (Depending on rain)

8:00-8:30ish in the pmish…We will march our show and then halftime homecoming ceremonies will begin. (Depending on rain)

There is a homecoming street dance afterwards…could be downtown…depending on (you guessed it…) ….rain…

RAIN IS MOST LIKELY A FACTOR…WE ARE ON RAIN PROTOCAL AND WILL MOST LIKELY BE TAKING SHELTER IN THE BAND HALL. We will be watching the weather and will adjust as needed. Bring a jacket/hoodie.

 

Saturday Oct. 20thHAVE YOUR BAND SHIRT, BAND SHORTS AND BLACK SOCKS

Boosters are making sandwiches for you. THANK YOU BOOSTERS!

12:00pm Arrive to eat lunch and get dressed in full uniform. Rehearsal after dress out.

1:00pm Load trailer and buses

2:00pm Homecoming Parade through downtown.

3:00pmish Return to band hall, hang up uniforms, unload, clean the band hall and head out.
