UIL REGION MARCHING CONTEST

Mesquite Memorial Stadium, 2500 Memorial Blvd, Mesquite, TX 75149

Itinerary

11:30a.m.            All will eat during “A” lunch. Report to the Band Hall after “A” lunch wearing your band shirt and shorts. Load trailer and put on uniform bibbers (no coats yet). Please check your pant length.

1:15p.m.              Depart for Mesquite

2:00p.m.              Unload instruments put on hats, coats, gauntlets

3:25p.m.              Move toward South Warm Up Area

3:40p.m.              Warm Up

4:10p.m.              Move toward Stadium entrance to perform

4:30p.m.              Perform

4:45p.m.              Load trailer – put away entire uniform – move to visitors stands and sit together

5:15p.m.              Announcement of Scores

5:30p.m.              Load buses and head to Cici’s Pizza

7:00p.m.ish         Depart Mesquite and head to Kemp

8:00p.m.ish         Arrive in Kemp to unload and hang uniforms

IF WE ARE SUCCESSFUL ON WEDNESDAY, WE WILL BE HAVING A CLINICIAN COMING FRIDAY AFTER THE HALF DAY AND WILL HAVE HIM WORK THE BAND FROM 12:30PM TO 2:30PM SO YOU NEED TO BE AT SCHOOL. 

 

REGION 3 MARCHING CONTEST

TICKET/ADMISSION POLICIES

 

1. ADMISSION PRICE IS $5.00 FOR AGE 6 & OVER; NO CHARGE FOR UNDER 6 YEARS.
2. SPECTATORS WILL BE GIVEN A WRISTBAND OR A STAMP TO WEAR WHICH WILL ALLOW RE-ENTRY INTO THE STADIUM IF THEY LEAVE AND PLAN TO RETURN DURING THE DAY.
3. BAND DIRECTORS, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS, SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS, AND SCHOOL BUS DRIVERS MAY GET IN AT NO CHARGE.
4. MEMBERS OF A COMPETING BAND WILL NOT BE CHARGED, BUT SHOULD BE IN UNIFORM (OFFICIAL BAND SHIRTS OKAY) OR ENTER THE STADIUM AS A GROUP WITH THEIR DIRECTOR.

 

Football game is at Forester Athletic Stadium in Dallas this week on THURSDAY.

KEMP at DALLAS MADISON, Forester Athletic Stadium

3:35 pm Report to HS Band Hall and begin loading the trailer then start getting uniforms and getting dressed bibbers.

4:45pm Load buses and depart for Forester Athletic Stadium
5:45pm Arrive in Dallas, Unload Equipment
7:00pm Kick Off
8:00pmish Half Time
10:00pmish End of Game, Load Equipment
10:45pmish Depart for Kemp ISD
11:30pmish Arrive in Kemp, Unload Equipment, Go Home!
